Saudi university and hospital (KAAUH) unveils a plan to structure health care costs.
The King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAAUH) at the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) has unveiled an initiative to develop and structure healthcare costs.
What did Dr. Ahmed Abu Aba explain about this initiative?
The executive director of KAAUH, Dr. Ahmed Abu Aba, announces that this move is one of the strategic initiatives to prepare for the privatization of health services. And this project is a pre-emptive step for developing new funding models for the development of healthcare cost structures in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Ahmed Abu Aba also explains that the cost structure has been created as part of an in-depth evaluation of the cost of health care to patients. He went on to say that such health care includes doctors, nurses, medicines, operating rooms, and the general operating costs of the hospital for each patient. This step will also allow the hospital's medical staff to focus on the best and most effective ways to reduce disparities in health care and improve medical service quality.
The King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital is a 300-bed hospital founded in collaboration with a leading global healthcare provider. It has an emergency department and specialized clinics for obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, ophthalmology, and the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) department. It is distinguished by having three integrated centers in women's and adolescent health, as well as child growth and development.
